A Prayer for the People of Yemen

Lord of mercy, look upon the noble people of Yemen, a people with a long history and a great civilisation. They deserve dignity, safety and bread. Have mercy on them in their suffering. Bring help to those in need, medicine to the sick, and hope to the brokenhearted. Comfort those who mourn, support widows and orphans, and protect the weak from all injustice. And in the midst of all this, open hearts to your love in Jesus Christ, the love that heals what no human being can heal. Amen.
