A Prayer Against Anxiety

Lord, anxiety robs me of being present in the moment and fills my mind with a future that has not yet come. By prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, I lift every worry and every fear to you. I ask you to exchange my anxiety for your peace — the peace that surpasses all understanding and guards my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus. I choose now to cast my cares on you, because you care for me. I breathe deeply and remember: you are watching over me, and you neither slumber nor sleep. Amen.
