New Mercies Every Day

The book of Lamentations was written after the destruction of Jerusalem, in the darkest days of God's people, yet out of the ruins came some of the most beautiful words in the Bible: “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23). Every new morning is a reminder that God's mercy and faithfulness never run out and never fail.

You don't need to carry yesterday's mistakes and burdens into your new day. Begin your morning by thanking God for one mercy you can see, and hand over to him what you cannot carry alone.
