A Prayer for Yemen's Leaders

My righteous God, your Word calls us to pray for kings and all who are in high positions, and I pray sincerely, in obedience to you. I pray for everyone in Yemen who has the power to make decisions: give them wisdom from you, a conscience that chooses justice over self-interest, and courage to speak the truth. Lord, soften hard hearts and strengthen the resolve of the just. Make the aim of all leadership to serve the people, not to exploit them, so that people may lead a peaceful and quiet life. Amen.
