A Prayer in Times of Loneliness

God who is near, I am lonely today. Perhaps I am far from my home country and the people I love, or I am among my family and cannot share what is in my heart. And sometimes I feel far from you too. But you said that you are near to the brokenhearted, so I believe your words, not my feelings. Lord, break down this invisible wall around me. Send me a brother or sister in the faith who sees how weary I am, and let me feel your presence warming my heart. You are the faithful one who said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
