A Prayer for Your Husband / Wife

Lord of love, today I pray for my life partner. Thank you for them; they are a gift from you, placed at my side. Make our love like Christ's love for his Church: sincere, patient and self-giving. My Lord, give us understanding of each other, and patience with one another in our differences. When the road grows narrow, keep our hands joined and our hearts close. If my partner does not yet know you, draw them to you by your love, and make my life a true picture of you before them. And if there is harm or fear in our home, protect the vulnerable one, and give me the wisdom and courage to seek help. Make our home a place where your blessing and peace dwell, and our marriage a living testimony to your grace. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
