I Prayed and Waited

My dream was buried under the weight of years of war and loss. I watched my colleagues leave one after another, and it seemed as if life was aiming loss straight at me. But I read in the Bible that God gives strength to those who wait for him, so I prayed and I waited, and what came was more than I had ever dreamed of.

“But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

Isaiah 40:31
