Thank You, Even in Hard Times

Lord, this thanksgiving is hard for me, because my circumstances do not encourage it. I do not hide my tears from you, and I do not pretend the pain is not there. But your Word calls me to give thanks in all circumstances, not for all circumstances. Today I choose to thank you by faith, not by feelings. I thank you because you are with me in this hard season, and because you do not leave me alone in it. And I trust that for those who love you, all things work together for good, even when I cannot see it now. Faith says “thank you”, even when I do not understand why. Amen.
