A Prayer for Identity in Christ

Heavenly Father, I want to know who I am — not as people, society or circumstances define me, but as you define me. Your Word says that to all who received Christ, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. This is not just a title; it is my true identity. What love, that I should be called one of your children! When the world tries to shape me by its values, keep me firm in my identity in you. I am not what I do, and I am not what is said about me — I am loved by you, Father. And that is enough for me. Amen.
