The Fruit of Patience

James says, “And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing” (James 1:4). Patient endurance is not passive waiting; it is a work God does within you to grow what is deepest in your character. As gold is refined by fire, the spirit matures in trials. Do not run from the season of patience, for in it God completes what you lack.

And patience does not mean keeping quiet about harm or staying in danger. Ask for help, protect yourself, and leave to God what is beyond your control.
